1:00 pm

Get to know “MORE ABOUT MAPLE” with Chris Nicholas.

Sunday, February 18th, 2018, starting at 1 Pm

The PA Lumber Museum is pleased to present a lecture and program from Susquehannock State Forest District Manager Chris Nicholas covering maple syrup production in Pennsylvania’s forests. Chris will speak on the history of maple syrup, and provide an overview of the modern industry, profiling both large and small-scale operations. He will also give some advice to folks who are interested in DIY maple production in their own back yards. Chris will have some tools and other maple production paraphernalia on display and, with cooperative weather and conditions, he will demonstrate tapping a tree and boiling sap on-site. If you’ve always been curious about making your own maple syrup, this program is for you. We hope you can join us on Sunday February 18th at 1 Pm.
