Nestled among beautiful sunflower fields in Kane, The Wilds Sonshine Factory’s mission is to produce high quality distilled spirits as natural and unique as the place it calls home — The Pennsylvania Wilds.
With every bottle, Wilds Sonshine Factory (WSF) will celebrate the natural landscape and heritage of the region, through locally sourced ingredients, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to growing in the PA Wilds. WSF will also be home to an interpretive education and agricultural center for northwestern PA through tours, displays and sponsored events. Visitors will walk through a 60-foot corridor and learn that “food does not come from a grocery store, lumber does not come from Lowe’s or Home Depot, and water does not come from a spigot,” owner David Conklin says.
“Sonshine” is a registered trademark representing a distilled spirit manufactured from the seeds of a sunflower plant grown solely in the PA Wilds region. Their sunflowers are taken from seed to still using an innovative manufacturing operation that works with local farmers to grow, harvest and process them into this unique product.
