SUMMARY:Spring Show
DESCRIPTION:The museum kicks its season off with it’s annual Spring Show. Antique vendors will be on hand selling a variety of items like furniture\, glassware\, coins\, books\, clothing\, and collectibles. On Saturday (April 18) only\, visitors will be able to watch the museum’s re-created 19th century steam-powered circular sawmill in operation. All weekend long\, a selection of historic trades will be demonstrated including blacksmithing\, log skidding with horses\, and our birch still. See the Eastern Loggers model railroad display in operation. Mess Hall cooks Jan and John Halter will present a cooking and tasting featuring wild leeks from 11am-2pm both Saturday and Sunday along with a wild leek harvest Saturday at 1:30pm and Sunday at 11:00am. Food and craft vendors will be set up outside.
