The Corry Area Historical Society Museum houses over 20,000 artifacts in 12,000 square feet of space sharing the local history of the 250 square-mile Corry community. The Archive Room features vintage photos, maps, genealogical information, newspaper articles, and more.
The Corry Area Historical Society also owns and proudly displays a refurbished Climax Engine, one of the 1,050 geared locomotives manufactured in the town between the 1880s and 1930s. The historic locomotive rests in a building in the community’s Mead Park.
The Historical Society is aided in its mission to preserve and celebrate the community’s Climax Engine legacy by another volunteer organization, Corry Rail and Industrial Legacy Society (Corry R.A.I.L.S.).
