PA Route 6 Maker’s Markets

Maker’s Market Events

PA Route 6 Maker’s Markets promote regional crafters, artisans, and agricultural producers from a variety of artistic disciplines, including pottery, photography, handmade jewelry, woodworkers, soapmakers, wineries and breweries, baked goods, and artwork of all types. These Maker’s Markets are an extension of the PA Route 6 Artisan Trail, where northern Pennsylvania’s rich history, diverse regions, and friendly people come together to produce a vibrant culture of craftsmanship and creativity.

In 2023, PA Route 6 Alliance teamed up with the Endless Mountains Heritage Region to host maker’s markets ay Keystone College in Factoryville and at the PA Heritage Festival in Troy. We partnered with Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center for a third maker’s market in December; Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center hosted the maker’s market in conjunction with Wellsboro’s Eighth Annual Christmas on Main Street.

Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center Maker’s Market During Christmas On Main Street

The PA Route 6 Artisan Trail partnered with the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center to host 20 Artisan Vendors during Wellsboro’s Eight Annual Christmas On Main Street, December 9th and 10th! This event featured 30 displays of historic ornaments made locally in the early 1940’s. Visitors learned how Wellsboro saved Christmas during World War II, shopped small businesses, and spread Christmas cheer with us! Free activities and demonstrations were offered by numerous vendors.
