Learn. Grow. Unite.
Each year, the PA Route 6 Educational Workshop, Annual Meeting, and “Do 6” Awards bring together community leaders, business owners, elected officials, tourism professionals, and heritage advocates from across the 11-county PA Route 6 Heritage Corridor learning, connection, and celebration. These signature events are rooted in the Alliance’s broader mission as a Pennsylvania Heritage Area to preserve, enhance, and promote the scenic, cultural, historical, and recreational resources along Pennsylvania’s iconic Route 6 Corridor, helping to strengthen local economies, foster collaboration, and share best practices in community and economic development.
The annual program includes interactive educational workshops featuring expert speakers and panels on topics such as community revitalization, arts and culture, and adaptive reuse. Networking receptions foster new partnerships, inspire fresh ideas, and reinforce a shared commitment to the corridor’s long-term vitality. Participants also experience local attractions and guided tours that showcase successful heritage and economic development initiatives in the host community.
The Annual Meeting offers updates on Alliance planning efforts, celebrates joint accomplishments, and culminates with the “Do 6” Awards, a ceremony honoring six outstanding individuals, organizations, or communities whose work exemplifies the Alliance’s mission and advances heritage preservation, leadership, tourism, and creative collaboration across the Pennsylvania Route 6 Corridor.
