MILL STREET TREATS is a quaint artisan popcorn, ice cream, roasted peanuts, and coffee shop located in one of the oldest buildings in the tiny town of Sylvania, Pennsylvania.
MILL STREET TREATS highlights include…
THE FAMILY BEHIND THE BUSINESS – The family behind Mill Street Treats includes the patriarch and retired local shop teacher, John Seeley, his daughter Katie Seeley Morgan, and her husband, Shane Morgan. Katie quips, “My Dad (John Seeley) and I talked about having a coffee shop for over 20 years! When my dad retired from teaching [shop at Troy High School] he purchased the caramel corn maker along with a popcorn maker and said he was going to pop some popcorn on the weekends just for fun. We had no idea that we would soon be selling popcorn, roasting peanuts, and roasting our own coffee!”
HIGH-QUALITY LOCAL INGREDIENTS – All of Mill Street Treats’ ingredients are locally sourced, providing the feel and flavor of its small-town home. With a background in nutrition, Katie evaluates each ingredient to ensure their products are healthy and free from modified growth hormones. “I believe in selling whole foods whenever possible. We all make an effort to purchase our ingredients from other small businesses that help make for a better product,” she explains. Then, John and Shane transform those high-quality ingredients into premium products—with the love and care of a small-town neighbor!
