The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is a non-profit dedicated to the community of Wellsboro by Arthur J. Gmeiner in memory of his family. The gallery space allows local artists to share their work, while the studio is a hub for creatives to congregate.

The Gmeiner is a unique institution in Wellsboro and the only free art gallery in Tioga County. The architecture of the Gmeiner was inspired by the Mid-Century Modern Movement of the mid 20th century. The structure stands out among the 19th century architecture in downtown Wellsboro. Efforts to preserve and enhance this design are ongoing.

The non -profit hosts a couple of artists’ work each month. There are also classes available throughout the year. Call for more information. Follow this link for the full schedule for the gallery.
