You can go anywhere and learn about that location’s history, but chances are you won’t find an area with more historic firsts, including the first underground mine, the first steam locomotive, the Great Lakes’ first lighthouse, and the first billion-dollar oil field! Whatever your interest, you’re sure to learn something new. Use the checkboxes, location lists, date ranges, and/or keyword search box under “Narrow Your Search” to find the heritage and historical sites, tours, events, and opportunities perfect for your interests and needs.
