PA Route 6 Maker’s Markets
PA Route 6 Maker’s Markets promote regional crafters, artisans, and agricultural producers from a variety of artistic disciplines, including pottery, photography, handmade jewelry, woodworkers, soapmakers, wineries and breweries, baked goods, and artwork of all types. These Maker’s Markets are an extension of the PA Route 6 Artisan Trail, where northern Pennsylvania’s rich history, diverse regions, and friendly people come together to produce a vibrant culture of craftsmanship and creativity.
The PA Route 6 Artisan Trail partners with organization’s to help pilot new events that the organization will then take ownership of and maintain, or partners with an organization’s existing event to bring awareness to it through our marketing channels. 2025 Art in the Wilds

Location: Evergreen Park, Kane PA
How to Apply:
The Art in the Wilds committee has announced plans for the 2025 show and invites artists and artisans to apply for this annual juried fine art and fine craft event happening June 28 and 29. Applications are now open, and the deadline for artists to apply to exhibit their work in the show is March 1, 2025. Selected artists will be notified by the end of March. New artists are especially encouraged to apply!
Thinking Ahead! The 2026 Application will be available in early January 2026.
2025 Great Wall of Honesdale – Call for Artist in ALL Mediums
This exhibit, a public art project of the Wayne County Arts Alliance (WCAA), is a high-visibility opportunity for artists from around the world to showcase their work. More than five million cars drive past the Great Wall of Honesdale (GWH) each year. “The Wall” is a physical display of twelve large-scale vinyl reproductions of horizontal artwork. The work of each selected artist is printed on an individual 11 x 17 foot vinyl panel. Chosen artwork is also displayed virtually as a permanent feature on the Great Wall of Honesdale’s website, which includes links to artist websites and/or social media account(s).

Kane Chamber Seeks Art Submissions for Rail Trail Signage Project
The Kane Area Chamber of Commerce seeking creative entrepreneurs to design creative and visually appealing wayfinding signage for users of the Knox & Kane Rail Trail. Signs will direct users to the Borough of Kane for dining, shopping, and lodging. FMI kane.civil.service@gmail.com

2023 PA Heritage Festival Maker's Market
PA Heritage Festival in Troy on September 16-17, 2023.
This maker’s market was held in conjunction with the PA Heritage Festival on September 16-17 in Troy and was a great success. We had 19 vendors attend, including PA Route 6 Alliance and Endless Mountains Heritage Region.

2023 Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center Maker's Market
Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center Maker’s Market, during Christmas On Main Street, was held December 9-10, 2024.
The PA Route 6 Artisan Trail partnered with the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center to host 20 Artisan Vendors during Wellsboro’s Eight Annual Christmas On Main Street, December 9th and 10th! This event featured 30 displays of historic ornaments made locally in the early 1940’s. Visitors learned how Wellsboro saved Christmas during World War II, shopped small businesses, and spread Christmas cheer with us! Free activities and demonstrations were offered by numerous vendors.

Meadville's Second Saturday Community Market
A Maker’s Market in Meadville was held July 13, 2024 in conjunction with Meadville’s Second Saturday Community Market to raise awareness of the Artisan Trail.

2024 Harvest & Heritage Festival
A Maker’s Market in Honesdale was held October 13-14, 2024 in conjunction with Greater Honesdale Partnership to raise awareness of the Artisan Trail.
