1. US Brig Niagara & Maritime Museum (near MM 1N) – Tour the U.S. Brig Niagara, “our commonwealth’s flagship was captained by Oliver Hazard Perry in the Battle of Lake Erie, September 10, 1813.” And explore the region’s maritime history in the Museum, which features a former steam-powered electricity generating station and a reconstruction of the mid-ship section of the Lawrence to a replica that has been blasted with live ammunition from the current Niagara’s own carronades.
2. Conneaut Lake Park (between MM 13 and 14) – Take a trip back in time at one of the oldest amusement parks in America, century-old Conneaut Lake Park, where you can eat cotton candy while strolling the 600-foot boardwalk, take the little ones for a pony ride, play some family miniature golf, and experience the thrill of the 1937 classic wooden roller coaster, The Blue Streat!
3. Zippo/Case Museum (north of MM 132 on Rt. 291) – Visit this museum in Bradford, PA, to learn the history behind two iconic American brands: Zippo lighters and Case knives.
   
4. PA Lumber Museum (near MM 187) – A tribute to the lumberjacks and woodhicks who built this country, the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum offers visitors immersive learning through a working historic sawmill, recreated CC lumber camp, hands-on exhibits, and public programs.
5. Steamtown National Historic Site (near MM 332) – The only National Park solely dedicated to the history of steam railroading and the people who made it happen, Steamtown NHS showcases steam locomotives, restored cabooses, freight cars, and passenger coaches dating from the early 20th century at their 52-acre site boasting an active Locomotive Repair Shop, working railyard and roundhouse with turntable, a museum complex with a 250-seat HD Surround-Sound Theater, and rail excursions to nearby towns!
6. Grey Towers (near MM 394) – Spend some time at Grey Towers National Historic Site, the former home of Gifford Pinchot, America’s first Chief Forester, acclaimed conservationist, and former Pennsylvania Governor. Built on nearly 100 acres, Grey Towers is considered one of the US Forest Service’s most significant cultural resources.
