Nestled among beautiful sunflower fields in Kane, The Wilds Sonshine Factory is a unique destination opening in June 2022. 

“Sonshine” is a registered trademark representing a distilled spirit manufactured from the seeds of a sunflower plant grown solely in the PA Wilds region. They take their sunflowers from seed to still using an innovative manufacturing operation that works with local farmers to grow, harvest and process them into this unique product.

As well as producing spirits, The Wilds Sonshine Factory will be home to an interpretive education and agricultural center through tours, displays and sponsored events. Featured in the factory will be an art gallery for local artists to display their work and showcase the beauty of the area. A retail gift shop will include only items that are made in the USA with a focus on talented artisans who create and produce items in our region.

In addition to all The Wilds Sonshine Factory has to offer, we hear that the unofficial “World’s Longest Table made from one continuous piece of timber” is installed in its permanent home in their Tasting Cave. There are also opportunities to have pictures taken in the beautiful sunflower fields. All the more reason that this is a must see during your travels along Route 6.
