Running Route 6 in 6 Days!
Ultra distance runner, Rhoda Smoker, finishes a 400-mile trek across PA Route 6. The runner started May 25th at Riverside Creamery, just across the Pennsylvania border, in Port Jervis, New York. Loving friends and family provided aid to Rhoda by traveling ahead in a crew van and stopping every few miles. Through rain and shine Rhoda persevered! On May 31st, after 154 hours and 49 minutes of running, Rhoda crossed the Pennsylvania boarder into Ohio.
Rhoda is a Pennsylvania native. Running Route 6 has been on her bucket list to do for some time. She has an impressive record of long-distance running including the 314-mile Vol State race across Tennessee (2018), 250-mile Cocodona in Arizona (2022), and the 200-mile Divide in Canada (2023). Since checking off another incredible run off her bucket list, we must wonder, what will Rhoda run next?
